Architectural Control

Providence is a deed restricted community.  Deed restrictions are in place to help preserve the value of our homes and to maintain the high standards previously established in our subdivision.  Each homeowner should have a copy of the deed restrictions ("Declaration of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions") that pertain to the section of Providence in which they live.  Homeowners should also have a copy of the Guidelines for Architectural Control  (AC Guidelines) booklet for Providence.  The PCA Board originally adopted these guidelines in September 1989.  The AC Guidelines were revised in October 1997.  These guidelines are intended to assist homeowners in interpreting the Deed of Covenants, Conditions and Restrictions governing our community.

Architectural Control Committee (ACC) Documents
    Guidelines for Architectural Control
  -  guidelines to assist homeowner in interpreting the Deed Restrictions
    Architectural Review Application  -  Required form to submit before making any change and/or addition
                                                           to your house and/or property.

All changes and/or additions to your property or to the outside of your house must be approved by the Architectural Control Committee (ACC).  Residents must submit an Architectural Review Application and receive approval from the ACC before any changes/additions are made.  
An Architectural Review Application can be obtained from the management company, SCS Management, 281-463-1777, or by selecting "Architectural Review Application" .

The following list includes (but is not limited to) items that must be approved by the ACC:


  •     painting house trim a different color
  •     installing siding
  •     new roof ("3 tab" roofs are NOT allowed)
  •     adding a pool and/or hot tub
  •     changing the height and/or location of your fence
  •     any addition and/or change to your house, garage, and/or driveway
  •     deck or patio
  •     deck or patio cover
  •     gazebos
  •     satellite dish and/or any type of antenna
  •     shed / outbuilding (no metal buildings)
  •     screen / glass room or porch
  •     major landscaping changes
Remember, before any change and/or addition is made to your house and/or property, it must be approved by the Architectural Control Committee (ACC).
