General Information
Providence is a community of 655 homes, located in the northeast corner of Fort Bend County. The first homes in Providence were started in 1981.
Annual Assessments
Each homeowner pays a yearly assessment to Providence Community Association, Inc. The 2018 Annual Assessment of $305 is due January 1, 2019. On February 1, 2019, unpaid assessments are deemed late and a penalty of 10.00% is automatically added to the account.
The assessments are used to pay for community expenses including, but not limited to,: part-time constable patrol, mosquito fogging, landscape & fencing, maintenance of the common areas, street lights, deed restriction enforcement, and the operation and maintenance of the Providence facilities (pool, tennis courts, clubhouse, playgrounds and parks).
Crime Watch
Providence is a Crime Watch community. If you see any suspicious activity, call the Fort Bend Sheriff's office at 281-342-6116. You can send an email (for non-emergency events) to the Crime Watch Coordinator at [email protected] or by calling the Providence Information Line, 713-267-5337. Please let Crime Watch know if you are a victim of a crime in the neighborhood so residents can be alerted. No exact addresses will be given (street name only).
Facility Passes:
A Providence Facility Pass is required for Providence residents to use the Providence Recreational Facilities (the swimming pool, tennis courts, and to rent the club house and/or pool). The Providence Facility Pass is a picture ID so each resident must have their own pass. Facility Passes will be issued at the Providence Clubhouse, at various scheduled times. To receive a facility pass, residents must be current with their assessment fees and have no outstanding charges.
Garbage Collection & Recycling: Best Trash
Kingsbridge Municipal Utility District (MUD) manages the contract for trash pick-up in Providence and the other neighborhoods located in the Kingsbridge MUD.

Sidewalks
The homeowner is responsible for the sidewalks on their property unless the Kingsbridge Municipal Utility District (MUD) is making a repair. The MUD will replace any sidewalk section they need to remove when making repairs to underground pipes.
Street Lights
Report problems with the streetlights (light out, dim light, pole leaning, on all day, goes off and on,...) to CenterPoint Energy at 713-207-2222 or 800-332-7143, or at their website. On Centerpoint Energy's web site, you can report the street light using the 6 digit number on the pole or use the map on Centerpoint Energy's web site to select the light that is out.

Volunteers
Providence relies on volunteers to coordinate and/or do some of the work and activities in the neighborhood. Volunteers are also needed throughout the year for special projects.
If you see something that needs to be fixed, changed and/or improved, or would like to volunteer for a project, please let the PCA Board know. Providence does not have an on-site property manager. Volunteers and PCA Board members handle the property management.
